Position Paper
A position paper is a document that outlines your delegates position, resolution ideas, and back story. Your position paper is required at all confrences you attend and will be turned in prior to the confrence date. At NCRC, HTHMUN, and many other confrences awards are given to the delegates that produce the best position paper within their commitee.

It is important to note that some chairs may require additional or different information in your position paper. All of that information should be availabe in your commitees backround guide or you can contact your chair.

Debate Script
During the course of debate your chair, and your fellow delegates will be following a speaking protocol to ensure professionalism and order within the commitee. This can be intimidating at first but it is really simple once you get the feel of it. A script with examples and directions is available to you at the link below.

Debate protocol is slightly different at every confrence you attend. NCRC and HTHMUN follow the format outlined in this script. However, certain phrases or norms may be changed to suit the nature of the delegation.

Resolution Writing
Resolutions are the documents that your committee will hopefully pass in order to solve your problem. Resolutions can vary in range from a few sentences to quite a few pages. The information regarding the way reolutions must be written are included in the document linked below.

Syllabus
This is the syllabus for the Model United Nations elective class at High Tech High North County in the 2014-2015 school year. A parent signature is required for all participating students and must be turned in the first or second week of class.
