About HTHNC Model United Nations
Model United Nations is an elective at High Tech High North County. Being an elective, the class is pass/fail and the results of the class will be on your record.
Model United Nations is a place for students to learn about world events and conflicts, form opinions on those conflicts, defend their views, and attempt to form resolutions. This is done through simulated United Nations committees and other decision making bodies.
MUN at HTHNC hosts two confrences per year. The North County Regional Confrence for Model United Nations is a public confrence held in december. High Tech High Model United Nations is private and only available to High Tech High and High Tech Middle students.
In addition to the confrences we hold, and the class debates we have, we also form travel teams to go to different confrences around California to compete and participate. This year we have plans to visist Orange County, Los Angeles, and hopefully farther north.
